We all experience darkness within us at some point in our lives. It can manifest as anxiety, depression, or grief, often leaving us feeling helpless and hopeless. But darkness is not something to be feared, it is just an emotion or experience that occurs when we are going through difficult times.

The good news is that there is a source of light that exists within each of us. It is our inner light – the energy of our spirit that can never be extinguished. With practice, we can tap into this light and use it to help us overcome the darkness and find our way back to a place of peace and joy.

Finding our inner light starts with self-reflection. Take some time to sit in stillness and explore your inner world. Ask yourself questions like, “What am I feeling right now?” and “What do I need right now?” Notice any blocks or negative thoughts that come up and then explore them with compassion and curiosity.

When we are able to make space for the darkness, it will start to dissipate, and our inner light can start to shine through. To do this, we can practice deep breathing and creative visualization. In the visualization, imagine a bright light radiating warm energy and filling the space with love and calm.

In addition to visualization, mindfulness practices such as yoga, meditation, and journaling can help us to be present to our experience and connect with our inner light. We can also practice self-care and self-compassion. Instead of allowing our thoughts to become all-consuming, try to take a loving, non-judgmental attitude towards them.

By taking the time to nurture your inner light, you will be able to view life from a place of hope and joy. You will be able to see the good in each day and find strength and resilience within. Remember that even in our darkest moments, our inner light will never go out – it is always within us and ready to be awakened.
