Apple's iPhone 7 - Latest News, Leaks and Rumors Etc

Iphone, Smartphone, Application, Apple Inc

  1. Apple's new iPhone 7 will be released this year in September and we all expect this device to be completely different from the iPhone 6s inside and out. It is likely that the iPhone 7 will feature a new and improved Jony Ive design. Plus, everyone is looking forward to it being the thinnest and satin Apple device so far with good looks and some new features with it.

As recently as last month, Apple launched their iPhone sales which were in decline and they lost £140m in the market value of Apple's stock. This clearly means that Apple will have to work hard to convince existing iPhone users that they upgrade to the upcoming iPhone 7 this September and also compete with Android devices like the Samsung Galaxy S7 which was also released this year.

Let's get started and analyze the latest news and rumors about Apple's soon to be released iPhone 7.

Recent news and rumors claim that Apple may be using a dual camera setup for their new iPhone 7 Plus, but it could be that the dual camera screen could be the same size as the Plus that comes with the new dual cameras. It was expected to be called the iPhone 7 Pro and could be featured as a supercharged phablet and Apple might as well release three different versions of the iPhone 7. Having three iPhone models seems unbelievable, but neither does the larger version of the Apple Plus device which is surprisingly good.

Feature:

A few months ago, it was rumored that the iPhone 7 could charge wirelessly, but this rumor seems less likely now. Apple is currently working on wireless charging but it's too far from conventional, according to Bloomberg. Instead, Apple is developing "advanced" technology that will allow iPhones and iPads to be charged without cables or charging mats. But it won't be here until 2017. Unfortunately, we won't be able to see this feature on the iPhone 7. It's really hard to comment on the rumors of this new technology.

It is also rumored that the iPhone 7 will feature a completely upgraded camera for this phone. The new Apple iPhone 7 will sport a new dual camera system with Optical Zoom and 2-3x magnification, according to Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo at KGI securities. This new system / feature is reportedly from Linx. The company was brought in by Apple a year ago. However, this new dual camera system is configured to show only on the iPhone 7 Plus.

It is also predicted that Apple's new iPhone 7 will feature built-in Touch ID and have a screen made of sapphire glass. Apple is already using this for their Apple Watches and they may be ready to import this element to their device.

Apple's new iPhone 7 may move to a glass-to-glass display which will probably have a QHD or even 4K display. Many Android devices already have QHD screens and the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a 4K display, therefore it is possible that the iPhone 7 will jump in resolution. If this is true, then the iPhone 7 might also get bigger and could see the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 7 models.

Regarding the price for the new iPhone 7, there are no pricing rumors. However, it is possible that the new iPhones will be expensive and could be around £539 / $649.

Waterproof:

There are various news and rumors that the iPhone 7 will be water resistant. Apple has filed a patent for a port that dispenses water, this is a major challenge to make the handset waterproof.

Apparently, the connector's patent shoe is covered by a self-healing elastomer, according to Electronic Devices with Concealed Connectors. The patent includes an elastomer to penetrate the probe and seal itself once the probe is removed. The port is isolated from the elements at all times allowing easy and quick access to charging the handset or using headphones.

Li-Fi Internet:

Some news reports claim that the company wants to include super-fast Li-Fi internet on the iPhone 7. Li-Fi transfers information in a dual technique using light. Unlike Wi-Fi which uses radio waves. Li-Fi creates a network using the light spectrum. This will allow data to be communicated via the light bulb on the fly which will have a transfer rate of 1GB/sec, much faster than regular Wi-Fi.

However, this feature is not so obvious. Usually, Apple waits a while before they introduce new technology for their products and Li-Fi is currently in the testing phase.

A10 Processor:

The next iPhone is expected to feature the latest A10 processor and 3GB RAM. This will make the new device more energy efficient and even faster than its predecessor.

Release date:

Just like in 2014 and 2015, everyone was expecting for the iPhone 7 to be launched in September this year along with the iPhone 7 Plus. Apple has been launching their iPhone Plus for 2 years
