My Closest Relative

*MOON: MY CLOSEST RELATIVE*

I owe you millions of dreams, for you have safeguarded my name,

A lost soul smiles at you, because you've saved me from mayhem,

I kneel down forth you, with an empty bowl of soliloquy,

Because I need to buy your reflection, to meet my identity.

I reside at the other side, where icebergs are my sole companion,

The glistening beauty is a reminder, of your poetic canyons,

Connecting a cord with yours, I close my eyes with bleeding ink,

Scribbling down some verses, which you ardently speak.

Your scars are those wings, which I wished to wear forever,

And those patches are warriors, they give me strength to bear,

I've diluted myself, being scared from the phobias of this world,

But your shine gives me hope, that I can crack open and unfurl.

Is it a miracle that I found you once, while playing hide and seek?

I still remember your summon, to the clouds who were your thief,

My heartbeats fastened, as you shone serene and graceful,

My hands rose up in prayers, to keep my family beautiful.

You are my Moon, my personification of this birth and life,

There's simile between us breathing, as you swivel with time,

I've seen you waxing and waning, awaiting the era of eclipse,

When you'd embrace me whole and gift me- my family's glimpse.

I'll still track down your path, I'll orbit around your pearly wings,

My dreams, my aspirations and everything; even melodies I'll sing,

You need to promise me, Moon! To let me meet my shadow,

With my family in my heart, I'd humbly kneel down and bow.

I'm blessed to have sketched you, like Haikus and sonnets of mine,

O Moon! I've seen us collaborating, with the wake of twilight.
